Worship Content Overview

Caledonia UMC offers a blended traditional/contemporary service. We use the Methodist Hymnal for traditional hymns and also use our video display screen for leading the congregation through contemporary Christian songs. Our talented choir and other vocal groups, including our own band “Shades of Glory” and our Bells Choir, will also perform a similar mix of songs to praise our Lord.

A children’s sermon is given early in the service and the children leave for the lower level classrooms for Sunday School after it’s conclusion. The Message (Sermon) is given each Sunday by Pastor Jim building on the theme of the season. (Beware of references to his love of the Three Stooges or Studebakers!)

A time for church announcements and prayer requests is always included in each service. Holy Communion is performed on the first Sunday each month. You do not need to be a member to take Communion – all are welcome.
